KAMLOOPS — The B.C. Ministry of Environment (MoE) is still trying to determine the source and composition of a mysterious pink liquid that drained into Guerin Creek Monday (Sept. 11).
A member of the public called in the pink flow around the noon hour, and MoE emergency response officers arrived on scene to take samples.
At the time, they noted diverting the flow to prevent the liquid from continuing further downstream was not possible. The ministry added the liquid was not believed to be acutely harmful to people.
Thursday (Sept. 14), a ministry spokesperson told CFJC Today the investigation into the liquid is ongoing.
