Stolen bicycle investigation leads to drug seizure in Salmon Arm
KAMLOOPS — RCMP in Salmon Arm say an officer noticing a stolen bicycle last week led to a significant drug seizure.
In a news release, Staff Sgt. Scott West says the incident took place last Thursday (Sept. 7) at about midnight.
An officer on patrol spotted what he believed to be a stolen bicycle with two males nearby. When the officer approached, one of the males fled while the other stayed with the bike and told the officer he was there to purchase the bike.
A second officer in the area located the male who had fled, arresting him for possession of the stolen bike. After the arrest, a search uncovered suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin and cannabis.
