KAMLOOPS — As temperatures cool down in the fall and winter, the Kamloops Blazers hope to keep themselves warm with a pair of Mintens.

In a news release issued Friday (Sept. 8), the Blazers announced the signing of 2006-born forward Bryce Minten, the younger brother of current Blazers forward Fraser, to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Bryce, selected by the Blazers in the seventh round of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft, scored 13 points (four goals and nine assists) in 26 games with Shawnigan Lake School’s U18 prep team in the 2022-23 season. He scored 30 points (15 goals and 15 assists) in 27 games with Shawnigan Lake’s U17 team in 2021-22.

“Bryce had a strong training camp, and we look forward to being part of his development over the coming seasons,” Shaun Clouston, Blazers head coach and general manager, says.
