Man sent to hospital after early morning hit-and-run on the North Shore

KAMLOOPS — A man in his 20s was sent to hospital with significant but believed to be non-life-threatening injuries after a reported hit-and-run on the North Shore Thursday (Aug. 31) morning.
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP say they were called to the 400-block of Tranquille Road at around 4:30 a.m. for the pedestrian-vehicle collision.
“A grey truck was noted to be leaving the area following what was described as a commotion,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says. “It’s still very early in the investigation, but we are hopeful that someone in the area witnessed or captured security video of the incident, to help further the investigation.”
Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
