Ukraine Independence Day celebrated in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — August 24th is Independence Day in Ukraine. It’s being recognized with a gathering at Kamloops City Hall at 4 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 24).
All Kamloops residents are invited to attend to stand in solidarity with Ukraine as the country continues to defend itself from the Russian invasion.
In addition to Thursday’s gathering, the local organizers of Stand with Ukraine plan to continue their peaceful gatherings every Saturday at 3 p.m. at City Hall.
