Kamloops trails and parks reopen to the public

KAMLOOPS — Nature parks in the city are open again. The City made the annoucement Thrusday (Aug. 24) saying conditions have become more managable after showers Tuesday and Wednesday.
“Based on forecasted temperatures and recent precipitation leading to a reduction to the fire danger rating in our area, we are comfortable making the decision to reopen nature parks and trails this afternoon,” said Deputy Fire Chief Ryan Cail.
The parks along with the Kamloops Bike Ranch reopen at 4 p.m. Thursday while the Barnhartvale Landfill and Yard Waste Depot will reopen Friday morning at 8:30 a.m.
