Motorcyclist dead after collision with a pickup truck on the North Shore
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are investigating a collision on the North Shore Saturday (Aug. 19) night that killed one person.
In a news release issued Monday morning, police say an off-duty officer was travelling northbound on Eighth Street at around 9:45 p.m. when she saw a scene involving a northbound motorcycle and a southbound pickup truck at the intersection of Richmond Avenue.
Police say a retired paramedic was present and attended to the motorcyclist, who was confirmed dead shortly after.
“Frontline officers, the Kamloops RCMP Traffic Unit, and a collision reconstructionist have been involved in the investigation, which is well underway and progressing,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says.
