KAMLOOPS β€” The Kamloops Innovation Centre (KIC) unveiled its new executive director.

In a news release issued Friday (Aug. 11), the KIC announced its board appointed Michael Andrews as executive director, replacing Dr. Lincoln Smith, who left the position in January after nearly a decade.

β€œHis experience working with multiple stakeholders and in developing and implementing complex community-business-government partnerships will be a significant asset to KIC as the KIC works with its partners in fostering innovation in the region,” Mike Henry, KIC board chair says.

Andrews holds degrees from Trent University and Toronto Metropolitan University. The KIC says he has significant experience as an executive director, working with education, employment and community development in the private, non-profit and public sectors.
