TNRD asks Adams Lake boaters to keep north of Agate Bay
ADAMS LAKE, B.C. — Thompson Nicola Regional District officials are enacting some temporary safety restrictions on Adams Lake, with wildfires approaching the water on both sides.
In a news release issued Friday (Aug. 4), the TNRD is asking boaters not to travel south of Agate Bay on the lake.
Boaters are also asked to stay away from the east side of the lake, downslope of the Lower East Adams Lake wildfire. The regional district says debris has been seen careening down the hillside.
People out on the lake are also urged to stay clear of all aircraft that may be scooping water from the lake.
