ADAMS LAKE, B.C. — The B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) says even if there were no firefighters battling the Lower East Adams Lake wildfire, it wouldn’t likely approach any structures in the next 10 days.

The information is noted in a growth projection published to the BCWS website.

Officials say fire growth with no suppression over the next 10 days would come within about 1.5 kilometres of the nearest building.

However, firefighters are attacking the fire — including eight helicopters, 10 pieces of heavy equipment and an incident management team.
