Five arrested, drugs and guns seized in RCMP raid of Ashcroft home

ASHCROFT, B.C. — RCMP have arrested five people after a drug raid in Ashcroft.

In a brief news release, RCMP E-Division spokesperson Staff Sgt. Kris Clark says the raid of a local home took place last Friday (July 28). In addition to local members, the RCMP’s Emergency Response Team was called in to assist.

Officers seized drugs and firearms from inside the home.

Five people were arrested, and Clark says all five are known to police.

They have since been released from custody with charges pending.
