Three dead in highway crash Sunday near Logan Lake

LOGAN LAKE, B.C. — UPDATE: This story has been updated with new information here.

EARLIER: Logan Lake RCMP are confirming three people died in a collision near the community Sunday (July 23).

In a news release, Cpl. Jarett Duncan says police were called to Highway 97D just outside of Logan Lake at about 11:30 a.m.

Two vehicles had collided there — a white Toyota Corolla and a grey Chevy Malibu.

Duncan says first responders and bystanders tried to provide first aid, but all three occupants of the vehicles were killed — two adult male drivers and a female passenger.

RCMP are still trying to determine what caused the crash and are looking to speak with witnesses or people who may have dashcam footage leading up to the crash.
