KAMLOOPS — Jared Roberts won a silver medal for Boys Division 5 while Alexandra Karpuk claimed the bronze for Girls Division 7 for the Kamloops Tsunami Swim Club at the Penticton Invitational swim met this past weekend.
According to a news release, Siena McDonald, Michael Karpuk, Kayleigh Roberts and Chiara Mcdonald also recorded personal best times while Victoria Karpuk raced to a 12th place finish in finals for the Girls Division 4, 100m backstroke.
Over 250 athletes from the Okanagan and Lower Mainland region attended the event and, despite having one of the smallest teams at the meet, Kamloops raced to 36 top-five finishes.
