Cariboo Regional District issues new Evacuation Order
WILLIAMS LAKE — The entire Lhoosk’uz Area, 150 kilometers west of Quesnel, is under an Evacuation Order. In a news release, the Cariboo Regional District had previously issued an Evacuation Alert to the same region, but that has now changed due to “immediate danger to life safety caused by wildfire.”

Residents in the area have also been provided with an evacuation route. According to the release, individuals should head East on 3900 Road or 4000 Road towards Nazko Road then to Quesnel and continue North on Highway 97 to ESS Reception Centre in Prince George.
