Evacuation order issued for Teepee Lake fire west of Quesnel

QUESNEL, B.C. — The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) has upgraded the evacuation alert at Teepee Lake to an evacuation order.

This order affects 293 parcels in and covers 71,161 hectares. This order is replacing the entirety of the Teepee Lake evacuation alert issued on July 10 at 9:00 p.m.

Due to immediate danger to life safety due to fire, members of the RCMP or other groups will be expediting this action.

Evacuation route: Head south and then east on Nazko Road/Blackwater Road/North Fraser Drive until you reach Quesnel
