The Mustard Seed launches second annual fundraising campaign for Men’s Recovery Program

KAMLOOPS — The Mustard Seed’s Men’s Supportive Recovery Program is raising funds for programs and services for those struggling with substance use disorders in the Kamloops community.

The program is a one-year recovery-based model. It is part of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act with the Province of British Columbia and fully accredited by The Ministry of Health.

“It was nine years ago now that this program changed my life. It works. I am living proof and I am here to support others who want this same freedom,” said Jeff Arlitt, Men’s’ Recovery Manager, in a news release.

According to Arlitt, the organization needs the support from the community to keep the program alive.

“We’ve had to cut some of the programming due to budget constraints. Support from the community can provide needed funds and resources to continue programs for the men here,” he explained.

The fundraising campaign, launched by The Mustard Seed, will be happening from July 17 to August 31 at The Mustard Seed 181 West Victoria Street. For more information, access theseed.ca/recovery.
