Severe Thunderstorm warning issued for Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Residents in the Kamloops area are warned to expect a severe thunderstorm Sunday afternoon (July 9).

In an alert issued by Environment Canada, meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts.

In addition, the forecaster says nickel sized hail and heavy rain could also occur.

The thunderstorms from Kamloops through to Falkland will track northeast at 20 km/h and move over Highway one within the next thirty minutes.
