Thunderstorm watch issued for Kamloops, Merritt

KAMLOOPS — Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the South Thompson and Nicola regions, including the cities of Kamloops and Merritt.

As of Friday afternoon (July 7), the forecaster says conditions are favourable for the development of major storms, including strong winds, heavy rain and large hailstones.

The watch also extends to the Prince George area and eastward.
