Bail decision expected next week for former Kamloops lawyer charged with murder

KAMLOOPS — A former Kamloops lawyer accused of killing a TRU employee in 2022 will have to wait until next week to learn if he gets bail.

Bail submissions in the case of Rogelio ‘Butch’ Bagabuyo wrapped up in B.C. Supreme Court at the Kamloops courthouse Thursday (July 6).

In May, Bagabuyo was charged with first degree murder in the March 2022 killing of 60-year-old Mohd Abdullah.

Abdullah was last seen alive on March 11, 2022. Six days later, his body was discovered in a Dufferin cul-de-sac.
