Second suspicious package found in Aberdeen neighbourhood: Kamloops RCMP

KAMLOOPS — A second suspicious package has been reported in Aberdeen in as many days.

In a news release, Kamloops RCMP say a resident on the 2100-block of Sifton Avenue found a suspicious package at around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday (July 4).

S/Sgt. Kelly Butler says the RCMP Explosive Device Unit will attend the area Wednesday to examine the item. The 2100-block of Sifton Avenue has been closed to the public until the item can be safely examined and disposed of.

Police state no evacuations have taken place and traffic control measures have been installed to help nearby residents.
