Roadway in Aberdeen closed due to ‘suspicious package’: Kamloops RCMP

KAMLOOPS — Police are on scene at an Aberdeen road that’s closed to the public.

Cpl. Crystal Evelyn told CFJC Today Tuesday (July 4) morning that officers were told of a suspicious package near the roadway on the 900-block of Greystone Crescent at around 7:35 p.m. Monday.

“Officers are currently on scene awaiting the arrival of the Explosives Disposal Unit, as a precaution, and the road has been closed,” Evelyn says.

Evelyn adds that evacuations are currently not required.
