Rivers FC men comeback, women still searching for first win after weekend against Harbourside FC

KAMLOOPS — Rivers FC saw peaks and valleys during its matches with Harbourside FC from Nanaimo Sunday (June 25).

On the men’s side, Kamloops League1 BC club scored three goals in the second half – one from Elijah Dos Santos, one from Marques Scott and one from Jonathan Rinaldi – en route to a 3-2 win from MacArthur Island Park.

However, Rivers FC’s women’s club got out to a 1-0 lead after the first half thanks to a goal from Taylor Miller, although they surrendered five goals in the second half en route to a 5-2 loss at home.

Rivers FC is in the middle of the men’s table – sitting in fifth place four wins, four losses and two draws – good for 14 points in 10 matches. On the women’s side, Rivers FC is still searching for their first win of the 2023 season. They’re 0-10-0, good for zero points, as they sit at the bottom of the table.
