Senior missing after not returning from walk near 150 Mile House

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Williams Lake RCMP and Central Cariboo Search and Rescue are asking the public to keep an eye out for a missing man.
In a news release, RCMP say 81-year-old George Ballantyne had gone for a walk at Dugan Lake Recreation Site in 150 Mile House and had not returned.
Ballantyne went for his walk at around 10:45 a.m. Thursday (June 22) and police say they were told at around 1:50 p.m. that afternoon that he had not returned.
Ballantyne was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green fleece jacket and a duck bill hat. He’s described as a white man standing 5’1” and weighing 140 lbs with white crew cut hair.
