Kamloops woman arrested after robbery on the North Shore

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops woman was arrested for robbery on the North Shore over the weekend.

In a news release, Kamloops RCMP say they were called to a store on the 700-block of Fortune Drive Saturday (June 17) at around 7:40 a.m. where the woman allegedly showed off a weapon and began waving it around when she was followed by an employee.

Several hours later, police say they found a suspect on Tranquille Road near Yew Street and arrested her for robbery and for a warrant related to failing to comply with probation. Police say she was released with two court dates — one for the endorsed warrant and another for the robbery investigation.
