Port Angeles caps sweep of Kamloops NorthPaws with Father’s Day win

KAMLOOPS — It wasn’t the gift Kamloops fathers were looking for on their annual day. The Port Angeles Lefties rolled past the NorthPaws 14 – 5 Sunday (Jun. 18), sweeping the three-game series in Kamloops.

The Lefties outscored the NorthPaws 27 – 7 in the series at Norbrock Stadium. They were led by Roberto Nunez who went 9 – 15 over the weekend, raising his batting average to .446, good for third in the West Coast League.

The NorthPaws (4 – 11) will try to get things back on track Tuesday when they host the Wenatchee Apple Sox (11 – 4) in the first of three games.
