Two baby bison find new home at BC Wildlife Park
KAMLOOPS – Bruno and Belle are the newest members of the BC Wildlife Park family. The pair of bison came to the park as calves from the Big Valley Bison Ranch south of Kamloops and are adjusting well to their new homes.
“So far, great. When we first got them they were quite small – well, they are still quite small, even though they are fairly large to our standards,” BC Wildlife Park Animal Care Manager, Tracy Reynolds told CFJC News. “And they had never really been off the ranch so there was a lot for them to learn and adjust to here, partly just being in proximity to humans.”
The BC Wildlife Park had been looking to add to their bison herd for a while but had to wait for the right time.
