Kamloops NorthPaws post first victories of young season

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops NorthPaws earned their first two wins of the West Coast Baseball League season, taking two of three games from the Corvallis Knights over the weekend at Norbrock Stadium.
The NorthPaws opened the series with a 1 – 0 shutout Friday night. Following a rainout Saturday, the NorthPaws posted another shutout, beating the Knights 2 – 0 Sunday afternoon. But Corvallis avoided being swept by Kamloops, posting a 9 – 0 victory in the second half of the Sunday doubleheader.
The NorthPaws (2 – 7) head to Edmonton (2 – 7) to open a three-game set Tuesday before kicking off a nine-game homestand Friday against the Bend Elks.
