Kamloops real estate market on the rise; prices steady
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops and area real estate market is picking up steam after an early-year lull.
According to new statistics provided by the Association of Interior Realtors (AIR), there were 273 units sold in the region in May. That’s the highest monthly total in 14 months. There were 326 sales in March, 2022.
Both new listings and active listings have been climbing steadily for three consecutive months. AIR reports 476 new listings in May and 964 active listings as of the end of the month.
“The Kamloops and District region’s sales activity is continuing its upward trajectory that began at the start of the year,” said AIR President Chelsea Mann. “Statistically, we are close to our average monthly sales figures and almost right on par with last year May’s sales activity, which is a very positive sign we are moving in the right direction.”
