Rivers FC fall in Burnaby to TSS Rovers

KAMLOOPS — It was a challenging Saturday (June 3) for Rivers FC’s men’s and women’s sides.

Kamloops’ League1 BC clubs made the trip to Swangard Stadium in Burnaby to challenge TSS Rovers. Rivers FC’s men’s side fell 3-1 while the women were edged 5-4.

The men have now lost two matches in a row and sit seventh in the table with two wins, one draw and two losses for seven points in five matches. The women, meanwhile, are still winless on the season with five losses in five matches. They sit at the bottom of the table with no points.

Rivers FC returns home to MacArthur Island Park on Saturday, June 10, when they welcome Highlanders FC from Victoria. The women kick things off at 2 p.m. while the men play at 4:30 p.m.
