Kamloops annual Kidney Walk beginning this weekend

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Kidney Walk is set to begin this weekend at Mcdonald Park. The walk raises funds for research and support programs for patients.

Linda Bonner-Brown, who has been a volunteer with the foundation for 26 years will be this year’s walk honoree.

“The kidney foundation saved my life,” Bonner-Brown told CFJC Today. “After my husband died I still was volunteering at the hospital. I was there for him for four and a half years. So why not be there. Being able to be out there and meet people I have the most wonderful friends still,”

The Kidney Walk has raised just over $17,000 as they near their goal of $20,000.
