Gunshot victim arrested on Canada-wide warrant in Salmon Arm

SALMON ARM, B.C. — RCMP in Salmon Arm are investigating several suspicious events over two days that may be connected.
On Sunday, May 28, Salmon Arm RCMP attended the Shuswap Lake General Hospital for reports of a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The man was uncooperative with police and later found to be wanted on Canada-wide parole violation warrants. He was arrested and turned over to federal corrections.
While officers were dealing with the man in the hospital, Salmon Arm Mounties also responded to a vehicle fire to the east of Canoe on a forest service road.
