Kamloops residents have many options to enjoy Memorial Cup activities

KAMLOOPS — You don’t need tickets to the game to enjoy the Memorial Cup. There are several activities planned around the tournament today.

A Ball Hockey tournament continues at 9 a.m. at 4th and Seymour. The tournament began Saturday in the city.

The Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit opens at 9 at Kelson Hall on St. Paul Street. The exhibit includes many of the most exquisite trophies of the National Hockey League which are displayed at the official Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

The Fan Zone opens at 10 a.m. Today’s popular Hot Stove discussion will feature former Blazer A.J. Baines and former head coach Tom Renney.

Then you can watch today’s game under the sunshine as the Blazers face the Peterborough Petes in a key game. Both the Ontario Hockey League champions and the hosts are desperately looking for their first wins in the tournament. Game time is 3 p.m.
