Kamloops residents getting ready for annual Alzheimer’s Walk
KAMLOOPS — On Sunday (May 28), a dedicated group of Kamloops residents will partake in the annual walk for Alzheimer’s, which aims to raise money towards Alzheimer’s research.
“When we talk about programs and services within our community those are vital to support not just people living with the disease but also their care partners and family members,” Support and Education Coordinator for Alzheimer’s Society of B.C. Tara Hildebrand told CFJC Today.
Each year the walk is led by an honouree family. Sandy Hall will be leading this year’s walk. It took her several years before she was officially diagnosed with dementia in 2017.
