Downed power pole leaves hundreds without power in downtown Kamloops

UPDATE (11:00 a.m.): Power has been restored for nearly all customers affected by an outage in downtown Kamloops Thursday morning.
BC Hydro says 12 customers in the 600-block of Victoria Street are still without power. However, crews now have a more optimistic time of 3:00 p.m. for when power will be restored.
EARLIER: KAMLOOPS — A couple hundred BC Hydro customers in downtown Kamloops will be without power for most of Thursday (May 25).
BC Hydro says 280 customers have been without power since 7:23 a.m. Thursday due to a motor vehicle accident. The affected area is east of Third Avenue, north of Seymour Street, and southwest of Victoria Street.
