KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Men’s soccer team has added a new recruit to the side.

Head Coach John Antulov announced that Soren Kaczor, from Vancouver, has committed to the team.

“He’s a young player that has real potential, when he came into our ID Camp he did some really good things in the middle of the pitch,” said Antulov of Kaczor. “He’s a very creative player that is comfortable on the ball and has the ability to attack so I think he’ll give us some good diversity in the centre of the park.”

A standout at TRU’s ID Camp in February, Kaczor’s offensive prowess impressed Antulov.

“You can see that he is a player that can play at this level,” said Antulov. “He’s a guy that can come in and hopefully get minutes and push some guys that have been in the program for a couple years and that’s what we want for our young guys, is to develop competition in different positions.”

Playing soccer for as long as he can remember, Kaczor says that the great things he’s heard about the program and Antulov put the WolfPack on his radar.

“Soccer is my passion and it’s an honour to continue playing at the university level,” said Kaczor. “I would love to help TRU win another national championship.”

Kaczor is enrolled in business classes at TRU and will add another strong option for the WolfPack as they embark upon their title defence.
