Environment Canada issues special weather statement as unseasonable heat sets in

KAMLOOPS — Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement due the continuing hot temperatures over the B.C. Interior.
The statement notes daytime highs will rise into the low-to-mid 30s Celsius throughout the week — unseasonably high for mid-May.
The forecaster says overnight lows will reach the low-to-mid-teens.
Overall, daytime high temperatures will be about 10 to 15 degrees higher than normal for this time of year.
