KAMLOOPS — The community of Cache Creek is working to repair the damages from the last two weeks of flooding.

On Saturday, from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. the water will be turned off for work to be done on the water main by the highway 97 culvert, which had been exposed due to erosion from flooding.

The village of Cache Creek is on stage 4 water restriction. Village officials are asking residents to fill up jugs of water before the work begins, as drinking water will not be available.

The river level is still listed as a concern. The Bonaparte river is running high and fast, but has shown signs of decline. There have been no significant breaches of the riverbank, however some groundwater seepage has been reported.
