Accompanied by child, man steals items from Valleyview store
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are looking to track down a man who stole several items from a Valleyview store, with a school-aged boy in tow.
The theft happened Wednesday (May 10) at about 10:35 a.m., at a business in Valleyview Square in the 2100-block of the East Trans Canada Highway.
The man walked out of the store with several items, including a red Fill-Rite fuel pump and a pair of shears. He left the area in a white Ford F250 with license plate stolen out of Merritt.
“The suspect was in the company of a school-age boy, approximately eight to 10 years old,” said detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn. “We are releasing an image of the suspect and a non-identifying image of the boy, in hopes that someone from the public will recognize them and contact police so that we may further the investigation.”
