Woman killed in Shuswap Road motorcycle crash Saturday: RCMP

KAMLOOPS — RCMP say a motorcyclist was killed after crashing on the Tk’emlups reserve on Saturday.

In a news release, RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says police were called to the scene at about 5:25 p.m. on Saturday (May 6). The incident took place along Shuswap Road near Miner Road.

When Mounties arrived, civilians were performing first aid on one of two motorcyclists involved. The woman died of her injuries.

A second motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Evelyn says police don’t suspect criminality was involved. The B.C. Coroners Service is carrying out a parallel investigation.
