May 7, 2023 | 7:19 AM

KAMLOOPS — On a night where the Kamloops Blazers had their season on the line, they delivered in a big way as they defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-2 in game 5 to send the series back to the Sandman Centre.

Dylan Ernst stood tall on his head, making a stellar 36 saves in the game. It took nearly 30 minutes before the first goal was scored in the contest courtesy of Jared Davidson who tallies his ninth of the post-season. Matthew Seminoff would score to tie the game up at one heading into the third period.

That’s where Kamloops put on the pressure with a series on chances and were rewarded heavily. Three goals from the club thanks to Seminoff again and Ryan Hofer who would score two in the frame, including the game winner to set up a game 6 on Monday (May 8) as the Blazers now trail the series 3-2. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
