Sandbagging material available for Salmon River-area residents in Falkland, Silver Creek

SALMON ARM, B.C. — The Shuswap Emergency Program is recommending residents near the Salmon River be vigilant in the coming days.

The Salmon River through Falkland, Silver Creek and Salmon Arm is subject to a flood watch instituted by the B.C. River Forecast Centre.

The river level could rise quickly over the coming days, depending on how much of the anticipated rainfall actually materializes.

The program is making sandbagging materials available at the fire halls in Silver Creek and Falkland.
