Province issues flood warning for smaller creeks and rivers west of Kamloops
CACHE CREEK, B.C. — The B.C. River Forecast Centre has now issued a flood warning for the Lower Thompson region, including a series of smaller waterways west of Kamloops.
The warning, issued Tuesday afternoon (May 2), includes Cache Creek, the Deadman River, Criss Creek, the Bonaparte River and areas surrounding the communities of Cache Creek and Skeetchestn.
A flood watch remains in place for the remaining areas of the Lower Thompson, as well as the Salmon River and the Okanagan.
The B.C. River Forecast Centre says sunny, warm conditions will be followed by anticipated rainfall this week, including potentially significant amounts of rain.
