KAMLOOPS — RCMP are investigating a weekend arson on the Kamloops North Shore that damaged a business.
In a news release, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says police were called to the 900-block of Eighth Street on Sunday (April 23) at about 6:50 a.m. Kamloops Fire Rescue crews were on scene, dousing a fire that had damaged the rear door of a commercial shop.
“Security footage obtained as part of the investigation shows a suspect on a green and yellow mountain bike with a blue blanket draped over it, wearing a grey hoodie, bluish pants, and a cast or bandage wrapped around their right forearm,” said Cpl. Evelyn. “The suspect, believed to be male, departed southbound on 8th Street.”
