Brocklehurst baseball bat attacker’s former home hits the market

KAMLOOPS — The Brocklehurst house formerly belonging to Kristopher Teichrieb has hit the market.

Teichrieb is the man who brutally beat teenager Jessie Simpson with a baseball bat in 2016, leaving him with permanent injuries and brain damage.

Teichrieb eventually pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to seven years in prison.

In a subsequent civil suit, Simpson’s family was awarded nearly $7 million. The matter ended up back in court earlier this year, with Simpson’s mother Sue stating she had not seen any of that money.

In February, a B.C. Supreme Court judge ordered the home sold, with the proceeds benefiting Simpson’s family. Teichrieb’s parents, the most recent occupants of the home, were told to move out.

The 58-year-old, five-bedroom, 2,590-square foot home, located at 1715 Clifford Avenue, is listed for $850,000. As of January, it has an assessed value of $973,000.
