Blazers’ Zellweger named WHL Player of the Week after 7-point Game 4

KAMLOOPS — After an impressive sweep of the Portland Winter Hawks in Round 2 of the Western Hockey League playoffs, a particularly noteworthy Kamloops Blazer is being honoured.

Defenceman Olen Zellweger is the WHL Player of the Week.

Zellweger led all skaters with nine points in the two games he played last week, including seven points in the Blazers’ series-clinching 10-4 win in Game 4 last Thursday (April 20).

The seven points in one playoff game tied a team record for defencemen.
