Despite cool wet conditions, Boogie the Bridge attracts hundreds

KAMLOOPS — Not even cold temperatures and a steady drizzle could prevent hundreds from turning out Sunday (Apr. 23) morning at Riverside Park to participate in a Kamloops tradition.

The annual CFJC TV Boogie the Bridge event encouraged residents to get out and move your body. And that’s just what happened with participants walking, running or doing a little of both through the poor conditions.

This year’s event was the first regular ‘Boogie’ since the start of the pandemic. It was also the 26th edition of the event.

Boogie the Bridge is also a fundraiser, with money raised this year, destined for the Western Canada Theatre in Kamloops.
