National Canadian Film Day has big Kamloops connection
KAMLOOPS — The annual National Canadian Film Day celebrated its 10th year Wednesday (April 19). Canadian films are showcased across the country through free streaming events at select theatres as well as online.
Grab your popcorn as the Kamloops Film Society is hosting two special screenings to commemorate the day. Strange Brew starring and written by Rick Moranis and Documentary Buffy Sainte Marie are both airing at the Paramount Theatre downtown.
Kamloops Film Society Events Coordinator Josh Rose says programs filmed locally bring more people to the theatre.
