Two Blazers make final NHL Central Scouting rankings

KAMLOOPS — Two Kamloops Blazers made the cut in the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Central Scouting final rankings ahead of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

In a list released Tuesday (April 18) morning, Connor Levis was ranked 75th overall among North American skaters, down from No. 60 in the mid-term rankings, slotting him as a potential third-round pick. The 2004-born right winger finished the 2022-23 Western Hockey League (WHL) season with 67 points (27 goals and 40 assists) in 68 games.

Dylan Ernst was ranked 26th in North American goaltenders, down from No. 15 in the mid-terms. The Blazers’ 2004-born starting netminder posted a 0.906 save percentage and a 2.69 goals against average in 53 games played while posting a record of 38-10-3 with two shut outs.

Elsewhere, Kamloops local Sawyer Mynio was ranked No. 62 among North American skaters. The 2005-born defenceman scored 31 points (five goals and 26 assists) in 68 games with the Seattle Thunderbirds.

Meanwhile, 12 WHL players were listed as potential first-round NHL Draft picks:
