RCMP trying to determine why car collided with Kamloops North Shore restaurant

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP investigators are still trying to determine why a car crashed into a North Shore restaurant Monday afternoon (April 18).

The Volkswagen slammed into Moon Wok Chinese Restaurant at 755 Tranquille Road at about 4:45 p.m. Monday.

Detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says paramedics and Kamloops Fire Rescue personnel responded and removed the driver from the car, taking them to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Evelyn says the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
