KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers’ captain is looking to go back-to-back.

Logan Stankoven was unveiled as the B.C. Division nominee for the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy as Western Hockey League (WHL) Player of the Year for 2022-23. In a news release issued Wednesday (April 12), the WHL says the Kamloops local was nominated alongside Connor Bedard of the Regina Pats in the East Division, Jackson Berezowski of the Everett Silvertips in the U.S. Division and Kai Uchacz of the Red Deer Rebels in the Central Division.

Stankoven won the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy last season, being the first Blazer to win WHL Player of the Year since Jarome Iginla in 1996. He finished fourth in WHL scoring for 2022-23 with 97 points (34 goals and 63 assists) in 48 games.
